Hello to all our friends and may 2017 bring you much happiness. What ever happens in 2017 may we always keep out eyes on Jesus. This last year has brought about several changes for the group.

Joe Medsker, who has been a regular with the Wasepi's for the last 3 years passed away suddenly on Monday, January 11, 2016 at his home. He is surely missed.

Eric's father, Aaron Cowles passed away on December 11th 2013. He will be missed by all, especially his wife, Sandy. But, the Bible tells us that to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. We rejoice in that promise.

Eric's brother, Steve Cowles has come on board to help out with the guitar and other instruments.

My Father, Freeman (Ole Uncle Josh) Stauffer, a founder of the group passed away on Sept 1st 2010.

My Uncle Don Stauffer, one of the founders of our group, passed away on March 26th, 2014.   Time keeps marching on and loved ones go on to be with Jesus.

In 2014 the Wasepi's started a "Home for the Elderly" ministry. It takes place on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings. It's been such a blessing to be able to put a smile on someone's face and tell them the Gospel Story in song and testimony. Also helping with this ministry is Joe Schlabach, an original Wasepian, Counsin Eli Schwartz, another former Wasepian, Cousin Mike Stauffer, And Grandsons Joe Grove and Stephen Schwartz.

We now have 2 former Gibson Guitar Corp. employees in our group. Pat Mertaugh, and James Brown. They are wonderful singers and musicians. We now have 3 banjo players, (one plays claw hammer style), 2 guitar players, (Steve and James are excellent at the thumb-style picking and all are flattop pickers),  2 fiddle players (sometimes twin fiddles are in order), 2 dobro players, one is Pro and one (me :-) is not. An excellent mandolin player, and 2 fantastic (doghouse) bass players, (Melvin McCauley and Jim Hoyt) and all are wonderful Christians.

I've  been playing my Father's Dobro on occasion, doing some of the songs that He did thru 30 some years of ministy. Please continue to pray for the Wasepi's, past and present.

 In John 12:32 Jesus said:

And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me.
